When you hear the name Chuck Mangione, you probably think of his top-40 hit Feels So Good, but you might be surprised to know that Mangione got his start in Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers in the 60s, filling the trumpet chair left vacant by Clifford Brown, Kenny Dorham and Lee Morgan. Our Artistic Director, Andy Classen will be writing arrangements celebrating this influential artist.
