For our season opener, we’ll be diving deep into the Latin roots of modern jazz. Ed East, founding member of Orquesta Alto Maiz, will not only play for you, but he’ll guide us through an audience participation demonstration of various patterns of Latin rhythm known as “clavés”.  You’ll soon be able to tell a mambo from a cha-cha.
