Upcycled Bookbinding Class w/ Rhonda Scott

- Details

Breathe new life into an old book while learning a bookbinding technique that is also a sustainability tool. The hardback cover of your book will remain, but hand-bound sets of blank pages (signatures) with patterned cardstock covers will replace the original text. There will be ideas for incorporating some of those leftover original pages back into your design, and different ways to alter the cover.
Choose from one of our thrifted books, or bring your own special one that fits within these parameters:
Thickness: Minimum .5”/Maximum 1.5”
Length: Maximum 10”
Width: Maximum 7”
Open to ages 18+. All supplies included in class fee.
Mondays beginning February 10, 6:30-8:30pm for 2 weeks
Instructor: Rhonda Scott
ISU $42/Public $52
Registration Notes: A $1 MidwesTix service fee will be applied to each ticket, and a 3% processing fee will be applied to online purchases. ISU price is available for current students, faculty, and staff only. Bring your ISU ID to the first class to avoid an upcharge to the public price.
