Event Description

Then and Now — featuring old favorites transformed

One of the fascinating things about music is its capacity to evolve. I Got Rhythm, for example, was originally written as a ballad for the 1928 musical Treasure Girl, and has been remade over and over again to become a beloved standard. In this concert we’ll demonstrate a number of these transformations by playing the originals and more modern versions.
