Tesla w/ special guest Lita Ford

The Clay County Fair announces that Tesla with special guest Lita Ford will perform as part of the SRG Concert Series in the Sleep Number Grandstand at the 2018 Clay County Fair on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 7:30pm.

Over the course of their thirty-year career, the critically acclaimed iconic hard rock quintet, Tesla, has sold more than 25 million albums and performed to sold out crowds across the world. The band’s journey kicked into high gear with 1986’s platinum-certified debut, Mechanical Resonance, which solidified them as a household name. With signature anthems such as “Love Song,” “Signs,” What You Give,” “Modern Day Cowboy,” and more, the band remains a mainstay in rock music today.

“As always, our goal with Grandstand concerts at the Fair is to provide something for everyone,” said Fair CEO Jeremy Parsons. “We know this great band – which has been requested by many over the past several years – will create a powerful night of music for our rock fans.”

A British born rocker who grew up on the streets of L.A., Lita Ford is considered one of the most important female representatives of the rock genre. She was a founding member of the Runaways, one of the first girl groups who unexpectedly broke down barriers in the punk era as well as the male-dominated world of rock music, causing a stir with their six rebellious releases.

Following the demise of the Runaways, Ford concentrated on her own career and now looks back on many memorable hits including the chart topping duet with Ozzy Osbourne, “Close Your Eyes Forever,” “What Do You Know About Love,” “Shot Of Poison,” “Larger Than Life,” and “Kiss Me Deadly.” With the release of her new album, Living Like a Runaway, expect many more songs to be added to the list of hits.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 2 at 10:00am. Prices are $40 (general admission stage front standing), $35 (reserved Grandstand seating), and $30 (general admission bleacher seating).
