South Central Iowa Weekend Wine Trail: Trail #2

Take your travels to our in-state wineries this May to celebrate Iowa Wine Month!

This link is to purchase a ticket to the South Central Iowa Weekend Wine Trail during any weekend in May. Weekends Include: May 3-5th, 10-12th, 17-19th, May 24-26th. 

Each weekend Wine Trail ticker holder will get a FREE Wine Tasting at each winery on the trail plus an added special/discount at each location. 

Must be 21 & older to purchase a ticket. Print your ticket or have available to view by phone at each winery to redeem specials. 

South Central Iowa Weekend Wine Trail: 

Iowa-Wine Enthusiast must visit the wineries around Des Moines. North of the city, just a few gravel miles from the High Trestle Trail, sits The Cellar Winery which is never short on entertainment (former home of Snus Hill Winery). A trip into Des Moines will take you to Jasper Winery where you can sample an array of innovative wines including their canned wines and bourbon aged wines. Driving south into the rolling hills takes you to Covered Bridges Winery. Ask about the story behind their wine: Rattlesnake Red. Follow the road out of Winterset to Madison County Winery sitting in a picturesque manner on a hillside just outside of St. Charles. A staple in the Iowa Wine industry, there you can also enjoy beers from Twisted Vine and Big Rack Brew House. Just south of Knoxville is Nearwood Winery, a creation of the owner’s own hopes, dreams, and seven acres of grapevines. With this ticket to the South Central Weekend Wine Trail, you can visit these wineries in any order, on any of the four weekends in May of your choice!
