Ryne Doughty is a folk/Americana singer-songwriter out of Des Moines, IA, whose music is deeply rooted in real life stories of love, loss, work, and play. His stripped down, earthy sound is directly influenced by the small, rural town where he was born and raised. The hard-working, simple living, and friendly way of life of the Midwest shines through his music that is understated yet complex and rich with beauty and realness.

Playing behind his fourth studio album, Date Night, Doughty is continuing to make a name for himself around the Midwest. With solid finger-style guitar picking and a rich baritone voice he brings a dynamic of warmth and richness to the stage. Doughty’s performances are always passionate and full of energy and songs that touch in the common life moments that we all share. His live performance and studio albums alike will not leave you wanting. The M-Shop is committed to the health and safety of everyone who attends our events. We are taking the following precautions to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 at M-Shop events:

1) Face coverings are required at all times.

2) The M-Shop will be fully disinfected before concerts.

3) Artists will be distanced onstage from patrons in the venue.

4) The M-Shop will be functioning at well less than 50% capacity and occupancy will be closely monitored with social distancing at tables throughout the venue for our shows.

5) Hand sanitizer is located at all entry points to the Memorial Union and within the venue.

6) The M-Shop bar will remain closed for events. Guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages, but food items are not allowed.
