Event Description

Due to unforeseen transportation issues within the band, Sammy Kershaw and Collin Raye are unable to join us for tonight’s Roots & Boots Tour performance on Tuesday, September 9, at the Clay County Fair.

Country music favorite Aaron Tippin will still take the Grandstand stage, treating fans to a special acoustic set. Following his performance, Tippin will host an exclusive fan meet-and-greet inside the Grandstand, offering autographs, photos, and personal interactions. In true Aaron Tippin fashion, he has promised to stay until the very last fan has been greeted. While the lineup has changed, fans can still expect a full evening of live music at the Grandstand.

For fans who purchased tickets specifically to see Sammy Kershaw and Collin Raye, refund requests may be submitted by emailing [email protected] by Friday, October 10, 2025. Please note that any tickets redeemed (scanned at the concert) will not be refunded. As a reminder, the $5 per ticket handling & processing fee applied to all purchase methods is non-refundable. Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days from when the request is received.

The Grandstand performance will continue as scheduled, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Clay County Fair is also proud to welcome rising country artist Sequoia Newland and the Redwood Revolvers to open the night before Aaron Tippin takes the stage. Hailing from Kansas City, Sequoia Newland and the Redwood Revolvers blend blues, Southern rock, and traditional country influences into their music. Formed by singer-songwriter Sequoia Newland and drummer Jacob McDonald, the band has earned a reputation as one of the hardest-working musicians in the Midwest, playing hundreds of shows while developing their unique sound. Their recent single “Raised Rank” is approaching one million streams across platforms, opening doors for national touring opportunities and festival appearances. A Nashville recording artist with multiple songs on streaming and radio, Sequoia cites influences ranging from Waylon Jennings to Luke Combs, bringing both grit and authenticity to every performance.

About the Grandstand Bag checks are conducted at all Grandstand events. The following items will be prohibited: weapons/firearms, alcoholic beverages not provided by the Fair & Events Center, air horns/whistles or other noisemakers, helium-filled balloons, glitter/confetti, glass bottles, fireworks, and illegal substances.
