PBJ & Jazz!

Fun for the whole family at the Peanut Butter, Jelly, & Jazz concert presented by the Civic Music Association in collaboration with the Des Moines Social Club and the Synergy Jazz Foundation. PBJ & Jazz concerts are 1-hour long interactive concerts designed to introduce jazz and American music to young children and their families.

The featured artist will be Bria Skonberg and her quartet. A specialist in classic American hot jazz, Skonberg expands the vocabulary and traditions of Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet with worldly rhythms and modern jazz variance. Skonberg will be appearing Saturday evening at Sheslow auditorium at Drake University as a part of the Civic Music Association concert series.

The party commences at noon with a lunch of peanut butter & jelly, juice and a cookie.

PBJ & Jazz concerts are FREE.
