The Music University (MU) Conference and Showcase connects local musicians with music industry experts to jumpstart new relationships and ideas. National and local industry professionals offer tips and insight into the business to help musicians build a successful music career in the Midwest. Workshops, panels, and concerts help local artists identify their goals and provides an opportunity for artistic and professional growth to all participants.
MU is organized by the nonprofit Des Moines Music Coalition (DMMC). MU is made possible with the support of David & Trudy Hurd, Greater Des Moines Partnership, Bravo, Iowa Arts Council, McKee, Voorhees, & Sease, PLC, and Iowa Public Radio.
