MKTO

California-based pop/hip-hop duo MKTO features the talents of actor/musicians Malcolm Kelley and Tony Oller, who first met in 2010 while filming the Nickelodeon television series Gigantic. Their debut single, “Thank You," was released on YouTube in January 2013 and had over 500,000 views within two days of its release. Their follow-up single, "Classic," was released the following June. The song peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and has compiled over 60 million views on YouTube. The duo released their self-titled debut album in January of 2014 and followed that up with a 4-song EP, featuring their latest single, "Bad Girls," this past summer.

Prior to the formation of MKTO, Kelley starred as the character Walt Lloyd on ABC’s hit show Lost and Oller appeared on several shows including the Disney Channel’s As the Bell Rings. They instantly became best friends after meeting on the set of Gigantic and quickly discovered a mutual passion for music and performing. As Kelley states, “We dreamed of being on opposite sides of the stage rocking out with the crowd and having them sing along – music brought us together, and now that surreal moment is happening."

In addition to their television work as actors, MKTO has been the featured musical guest on numerous television programs, including Good Morning America, The Late Late Show, Live with Kelly and Michael,  and The View, to name just a few.

The concert is sponsored by the Iowa State University Student Union Board (SUB), a student-run programming board that organizes cultural, recreational, educational, social, and entertainment activities and events throughout the academic year.
