The Clay County Fair, powered by SMU, is proud to announce a new opportunity for fairgoers to support flood recovery efforts in Clay County. Starting now, fairgoers purchasing tickets online for the Fair can donate to aid the communities affected by the devastating June flooding.
The Clay County Fair is committed to supporting our local community, especially in times of need. During the flood recovery efforts, our fairgrounds played a crucial role:
- The Event Center served as a temporary shelter in partnership with the Red Cross.
- The Tower Gate Pavilion became a recovery center for FEMA operations.
- The north parking lot was designated as a temporary collection center for flood debris.
- The campgrounds will serve as an RV Park for temporary housing.
"By offering fairgoers the opportunity to donate when purchasing tickets online, we aim to provide continued support to those in need," said Fair Manager Jerome Hertel.
In addition to online donations, fairgoers will also find donation opportunities throughout the fairgrounds during the 2024 Clay County Fair.
This year, the Clay County Fair is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of the resilience and community spirit that define Spencer. The Fair will be a time for us to come together and celebrate the joy of being united.
Join us at the 2024 Clay County Fair, where your visit can make a difference. Together, we can help rebuild and strengthen our community.
