Join our keynote speaker, Dr. Daryl Smith and Justin Meissen, the Research and Restoration Program Manager from the Tallgrass Prairie Center to explore some of the lesser known prairie remnants in the Cedar Valley near the Waterloo metro area. We will explore a spectrum of tallgrass prairie types from wet prairie (Stiles Prairie) to mesic prairie (Bennington Cemetery Prairie) to dry limestone outcrop prairie (Raymond Outcrop Prairie).


Field trips may be subject to adverse weather. Field trip leaders will contact attendees if severe weather is an issue.
