Freda Haffner Kettlehole State Preserve

Enjoy the Nature Conservancy’s Freda Haffner Kettlehole State Preserve, which protects one of Iowa’s largest glacial kettle holes and highly diverse native prairie communities. The hike will take us to and around the kettlehole focusing on tallgrass and sand prairie, wetland plant species, and preserve management activities.

Field trips may be subject to adverse weather. Field trip leaders will contact attendees if severe weather is an issue.
