Enjoy a wagon ride and walk through Zales’ Prairie Hills located on the Scenic Byway of the northern Loess Hills in Plymouth County. Immerse yourself in original prairie remnants, restored prairie, and old & new reconstructions, while viewing outstanding scenery of the last best places of Iowa heritage.


Bill is a retired college Botany professor, & Dotty is a retired elementary district librarian. They are now restoring approximately 300 acres of Loess Hills natural habitat.


Field trips may be subject to adverse weather. Field trip leaders will contact attendees if severe weather is an issue.
