FED Dinner: October

Food is at the center of our community and culture in Iowa. FED (Foodways + Education + Dialog)  is a special series of three dinners in the fall of 2021presented by Prudent Produce, and Panache, LLC, that build upon each other, to give a more substantial picture of Iowa’s organic food movement & culture and bring together those who are passionate about foodways and exploring ways to make them sustainable.  

The evening's meal will be curated by Beau Fodor of Panache (featured on Iowa Public Television, & having two decades of preparing Farm2Table cuisine) served in the Big Oak Barn and feature regional food producers.  

Over the course of three dinners Tony Thompson of New Family Farm will give a brief presentation to spark conversation about commodity agriculture & local food farmers, organic versus non-organic, and the health, environment and economics of the industry, along with the loss of diversity through ag consolidation. Most importantly this is an opportunity to build community around sustainable foodways for the future.
