Encaustic Collage Class with Maureen Burke

Encaustic medium is a mixture of beeswax and natural tree resin applied hot, creating translucent, layered paintings, prints, and collages. Learn how to layer and control the molten wax, add paint, and make one-of-a-kind prints on paper. The second project will build on those skills to include photos, papers, cutouts, letters, etc., to collage with wax on a 6” x 6” board. We will have a variety of papers and other ephemera to experiment with, but encourage participants to bring some of their own.

Open to ages 18+. All supplies included in class fee.

Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28 and 29 from 6:30-8:30pm

Class Cancellation Policy
Classes require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum enrollment is not met, classes are subject to cancellation. If a class is canceled, registered participants will be notified and issued a refund. If you register for a class and cannot attend, you must notify us at least 1 week in advance of the start date of the class for a refund minus a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be given after the one-week notice deadline.
