Dane Louis

Born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa, Dane Louis is a country artist equipped with a grittier and more uncut style different than most of what’s on the radio nowadays. With songs like “High Tax” about a 40 hour work week and the glamour of trailerhood, and the vengeful heartbreak of “Bad Guy,” his style is counterbalanced with ballads such as “What’s Your Name Again?” and “One More Day.” 

With a sound derivative of greats like Mellancamp and Eric Church, Dane Louis and his awe-inspiring band headlined several shows as well as opening for countless acts in 2019, including Tracy Byrd, Carly Pearce, Tyler Rich, Ashley McBryde, Billy Currington, Koe Wetzel, and Joe Diffie.

He released his debut music video for “One More Day” in July 2017 on the one-year anniversary of the passing of a dear friend whose death inspired the song and story as an advocacy against drunk driving. 

His independent debut EP Broken Glass, Empty Promises was released November 2018, followed by his debut album Lone Pine in August 2019 on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music.

The M-Shop is committed to the health and safety of everyone who attends our events. We are taking the following precautions to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 at M-Shop events:

1) Face coverings are required at all times.

2) The M-Shop will be fully disinfected before concerts.

3) Artists will be distanced onstage from patrons in the venue.

4) The M-Shop will be functioning at well less than 50% capacity and occupancy will be closely monitored with social distancing at tables throughout the venue for our shows.

5) Hand sanitizer is located at all entry points to the Memorial Union and within the venue.

6) The M-Shop bar will remain closed for events. Guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages, but food items are not allowed.
