Peace, love, faith...embodied, expressed, and shared. Anna Lilly creates soulful folk songs that meld the human voice and the voice of the violin into one. While the Iowa native's classical background shows itself in virtuosic lines, it's her travels, spirituality, and belief in our common good that speak in her melodic poetry.

Anna reflects on love, the simple yet incredibly complex human condition, and her life-long pursuit of truth-seeking in all the music she creates. She's made music over the past few years in places as far as Touba, Senegal and Buenos Aires, Argentina, and as close to home as Northfield, Minnesota and right here in Iowa City. Now, she’s back in Eastern Iowa for awhile to share her experiences through an ever-needed lens that upholds peace, love, and acceptance.

Justin K Comer is a saxophonist, composer, and improviser living and working in the bustling metropolis of Coralville, IA. In addition to his solo work, he also performs and records with JC//jp, Wombat, the garage supergroup ECCHT, d r o p b e a r, and others. For this show, he'll be performing his improvisational semi-ambient piece "Modal Exploration" on saxophone and electronics. Eventually he'll release more albums. (justinkcomer.com)
