Unofficial Chive On Iowa Meet Up

The date is set for December 14th from 6pm-2am. The location of the event will be in downtown Des Moines at The Venue at Court Center. The bar is on the top level of the Court Center building on the corner of 3rd and Court Avenue. 

Tickets: You can buy your tickets early at www.midwestix.com. Tickets are $15 and all proceeds go to charity!

6pm-8pm: ONLY advanced ticket buyers will be allowed into the Venue where we will have FREE BEER while supplies last. The first 50 people in the door will also get a FREE bottle of KCCO Black Lager!

8pm-2am: Doors open to the public with a $5 cover. 100% of the cover charge goes to charity! Pie in the Sky will be rocking the house for us from 8pm-2am! $3 tall boys of Coors Light and Miller Light all night long.

Shirts: We will have the original KCCO IA shirt, as well as our newly released JFW (John Fuckin' Wayne) shirt for sale! We will have them available in both men's and women's sizes. CASH ONLY. All proceeds from the t-shirt sales go to charity!

Raffle: We will have a raffle throughout the night at $1 per ticket. Prizes will range from Chive on Iowa shirts, Chive gear, and many different prizes from our sponsors. All proceeds from the raffle go to charity!

Charity: This time around, we have selected another Iowa family who has a sick child named Roger Wedlake. Roger was born October 3rd, 2009 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (half a heart). He had his first open heart surgery at 17 days old followed by another at 4 months old. So far, the little guy has had a total of 5 surgeries. The parents we're extremely grateful when we reached out to them and they were blown away by this group's success with the last meet up. Roger is currently at the University of Iowa Hospital on dialysis and starting intense physical therapy to learn to walk again. The doctors say he will need a heart transplant in the next year to give him a good chance of making it past the age of 10. That's where the Iowa Chivers and Chivettes come in! We're going to help purchase a new heart for Roger! 

We're extremely excited for our 2nd Des Moines meet up and we're looking forward to seeing everyone! This will be very similar to our first event at the Keg Stand so for those of you who missed out in August, clear your calendars for this one!
