Event Description
Green River Ordinance w/ Elenowen & Marc Scibilia

Over the decade-long journey from their first incarnation as 13- and 14-year-old kids in Texas to the upcoming release for their latest EP, Chasing Down the Wind, Green River Ordinance has steadily evolved. Their latest effort features the continued growth of their honest, hopeful songwriting and soaring harmonies. Written on the banks of the Caney Fork River in rural Tennessee, Chasing Down the Wind captures the spirit and freedom that comes from escaping the rush of the big city and rediscovering the simple things in life.

Since their formation, Green River Ordinance has been noted for their intensity and strong fan connection. Their 2009 debut album, Out of my Hands, shot to the top of the Billboard charts and catapulted their two singles “Come On” and “On Your Own” in the top 40.

GRO has shared stages with acts like Bon Jovi, Train, NEEDTOBREATHE, Zac Brown, Counting Crows, The Goo Goo Dolls and many more. Their music has been featured on 56 network and cable TV shows and three films and their music-videos have been featured on MTV, VH1 and CMT.

Their 2012 follow-up album, Under Fire, continued to push GRO’s national success with the success of singles “Dancing Shoes” and “Heart of Me” in both country and hot AC formats.

Singer/songwriter folk/pop duo Elenowen will appear as special guests. Though emerging from the same Nashville-based Americana-folk scene as The Civil Wars, Elenowen deliver a sonic glow all their own. Amidst haunting harmonies and elegiac lyrics, their songs flow with an undercurrent of yearning, surrender and unexpectedly sharp edges. With their original songs providing the backdrop to pivotal moments on popular television shows - including NBC’s Revolution, CW’s Pretty Little Liars, Lifetime’s Army Wives, CW’s One Tree Hill, and MTV’s World of Jenks - Elenowen are discovering that the truth of what they do is bringing them new fans nationwide.

Folk-rock singer/songwriter Marc Scibilia will open the show.
